Quartz: discovered. Quartz is used in fabricating basic survival equipment, and long-term habitats.
― PDA, Dialogue

Quartz is a raw material found on the seabed of many biomes and in some Caves.
Description
In the Safe Shallows biome, it may sometimes be a bit hard to spot Quartz crystals, as they are often concealed by the grass.
At night, spotting Quartz crystals becomes much easier, as the crystals reflect the remaining light, which makes it easy to distinguish them from the surrounding grass.
Quartz can be found as a large resource deposit.
