Kyanite is a raw material that appears as an angular blue gemstone. It can be found clustered together in a large crystalline formation in both Lava Zones, or alone inside the Lava Castle.
It is used in crafting some advanced upgrades/technology, and is generally the last raw mineral obtained in playthroughs.

Trivia
- There were once single pieces of Kyanite that could be found in deep Biomes, such as the Blood Kelp Zone or the Dunes. These were removed in a later update. Single pieces can still be found near the Alien Thermal Plant.
- There is a 0.000000471431432% chance for a large Kyanite deposit to yield 22 Kyanite pieces.
- It is possible to reach the maximum yield each time by continuously saving and reloading the game until each drilled off chunk drops 2 pieces. This is also possible on Hardcore Mode, however, since it's not possible to quit the game without saving then the only option is to manually close the game, making the process much more tedious.
