Signals are icons shown on the HUD that can guide the player to the source which is usually important story locations. Signals can be enabled and disabled using the PDA's Beacon Manager. Their colors can also be customized, with the choice of color limited to blue, green, orange, red, and yellow.

The Signal is an item that directs the player to significant parts of the map. These take the player to important story locations, as well as to various different areas where helpful resources might be found.

The Lifepod 5 signal is received as soon as the game starts. The vehicle signals appear at the location of any built vehicle. The Signals that point towards Destroyed Lifepods are obtained from the radio, while others can be retrieved from data terminals on the Aurora and within Alien Bases. Signals that lead to Degasi Seabases can be downloaded from certain abandoned PDAs.
Signals for Lifepod locations can be obtained from the Communications Relay. The rest are obtained from certain Data Terminals on the Aurora and Precursor Bases.

Signal Ping.png

Signals are icons shown on the HUD that can guide the player to the source which is usually important story locations. Signals can be enabled and disabled using the PDA's Beacon Manager. Their colors can also be customized, with the choice of color limited to blue, green, orange, red, and yellow.
