Quartz is a raw material found on the seabed and in some Caves.

Appearance

In the Safe Shallows biome, it may sometimes be a bit hard to spot Quartz crystals, as they are in most cases hidden in the grass.

At night, spotting Quartz crystals becomes much easier, as the crystals reflect the remaining light, which makes it easy to distinguish them from the surrounding grass.

Quartz can be found as a large resource deposit.

Trivia

As a pure crystal, Quartz is most commonly found in areas of former volcanic activity that have experienced extensive erosion. This suggests that the biomes in which the player can find it most abundantly are either the oldest or the youngest respectively, since they form easiest in magmatic discharge and are most commonly exposed due to erosion.
