</infobox> Zeta Landon is a member of Alterra Corporation who worked alongside Sam Ayou at the Phi Robotics Center.

Zeta abused her status as an authority figure to gain trust among her subordinates, learning their secrets, and then reporting them to Emmanuel, presumably to advance her career by manufacturing problems to solve for Emmanuel.

When Sam confided in her about her concerns regarding the study of the Kharaa bacterium, she offers to bring the subject up with Emmanuel, but really intended to report her for wasting time on matters that she wasn't paid to think about. Similarly, Lillian was brought on to study the Architects, but Zeta had her sidelined when the team's management decided that it was more important to study and presumably weaponize the Kharaa for profit. However Lillian was among the first to notice AL-AN's S.O.S. broadcast, and recognize it for what it was. When she asked for Zeta's permission to study it even thought Emmanuel wanted to prioritize Kharaa research, Zeta agreed and said she would keep it secret from Emmanuel.

Sam and Lillian were both shipped out to Station Zero shortly thereafter to keep them out of the way of the more productive members of the team who weren't fearmongering and wasting Alterra's money on unnecessary research, strongly implying that Zeta abused their trust in her and betrayed them, harming their careers to advance her own.

Ultimately, her duplicity was one of the influencing factors that led to Sam feeling forced to take drastic measures to ensure the team's safety, as well as the safety of the galaxy as a whole, which could easily get wiped out by the Kharaa within months of it being shipped offworld.
