It can be found in planters outside of a Degasi Seabase. The Marblemelon is a farmable plant. A variation of the Marblemelon is the Small Marblemelon, which only takes up 1 inventory slot. Marblemelons can be planted in an Interior Growbed as whole plants, or struck with a Survival Knife to produce four Marblemelon Seeds. The plant is destroyed in a single strike and all seeds added to the player's inventory at once: if this is more than the player's inventory can hold, any surplus seeds are lost. Seeds will take time to grow into adult plants after being planted. Due to the high amount of food, H2O, and energy it gives, the Marblemelon Plant is an all around excellent plant to farm.

Trivia
- The game "forgets" the decay due to age of a Marblemelon if it is placed in an Interior Growbed and then picked, allowing the player to restore these plants to full freshness.
- Sometimes, the game may mistakenly give the player Creepvine Samples instead of Marblemelon seeds when the player uses the Thermoblade to attempt to harvest seeds. What causes this bug is unknown, and is exceedingly rare.
