With the builder, you can construct seabases from raw materials. Ever tried exploring a frozen water planet without a base? No bed, no storage, no place to put a fabricator module. no fun at all.
― PDA.

The Alterra handheld Habitat Builder is a tool crafted using the Fabricator.
Usage
The Habitat Builder allows the player to build a variety of stationary items. It is a crucial tool for the deployment of Seabases and the customization of the interiors of Seabases.
The Habitat Builder requires a Battery to operate, and objects cannot be constructed/deconstructed if the battery is depleted.
You can also use the Habitat Builder to deconstruct structures you have placed. All raw materials will be placed in your inventory. If your inventory is currently full, you cannot complete the deconstruction.
How to Use
- RMB to open the Habitat Builder menu
- Select the desired tab: Base Pieces, Exterior Modules, Interior Pieces, Interior Modules or Miscellaneous
- Select an item
- Point the Habitat Builder at wherever the item should be placed until an outline appears
- Use Up and Down Mousewheel to rotate object. (if applicable)
- Press LMB to place the outline
- Continue building the item by holding the LMB
- Done.
- Placed items can also be deconstructed by pointing the Habitat Builder at them and holding Q, this only applies if the text "Hold Q to Deconstruct" appears on the screen. This also gives back all resources used in the building process.
Recipe
The fragments for the Habitat Builder can be found at a tech site in Twisty Bridges at -252 -124 -248 and the Delta Station and on a cargo crate next to Outpost Zero and in the Koppa Mining Site. It is crafted in the Fabricator.
