It can only be found as a large resource deposit in the Inactive Lava Zone and more sparingly in the Active Lava Zone, making it difficult to mine. As of recent updates, people have been known to see some single pieces of Kyanite in the Blood Kelp Zone, Sparse Reef, the Dunes, and others.

Kyanite is a blue silicate mineral which forms under high temperature, high pressure conditions. It is resistant to heat up to 1100 degrees Celsius, and is commonly used as an electrical insulator. Assessment: Essential for advanced vehicle modification
