They function identically to normal Power Cells but hold five times as much power, at the cost of taking five times longer to be fully charged due to the increased capacity. A single Ion Power Cell has a maximum energy capacity of 1000. It is unlocked by collecting the data from the Orange Data Terminal inside the Alien Thermal Plant.
