The craters are often resource-rich and it might be worth taking the risk to loot them. However, the type of harvesting node encountered in the Geysers depends entirely on the surrounding biome. The temperature of the geysers also makes them a great place to use the Thermal Plant to produce energy and then transmit it to a Seabase with Power Transmitters.

Currently, touching the bottom of the craters itself doesn't do any damage to the players, as long as the player retreats before the Geysers erupt again. It is also possible to stay inside the craters during the eruptions without taking damage by staying at the craters' side. Seabases will not protect you from eruption damage. Any wandering fish in the area that die of the eruptions or that come into contact with the lava will turn into their respective cooked forms, assuming that they have one.

Template:Infobox BiomeLava Geysers are areas of the ocean floor that spew out lava and steam. Some of the craters can be found deep in caves and others may be found in the open ocean. Every few seconds, the craters erupt, much like geysers, tossing steam and chunks of lava into the water. They can only be observed from a safe distance, as their eruptions will cause massive damage to the Player.

The temperature of the geysers makes them a great place to use the Thermal Plant to produce energy and then transmit it to a Seabase with Power Transmitters.

Seabases will not protect you from eruption damage. Any wandering fish in the area that die of the eruptions or that come into contact with the lava will turn into their respective cooked forms, assuming that they have one.
