The Safe Shallows is the first biome that the player sees when they get out of their Escape Pod.

It is a relatively shallow area, and also a peaceful biome, featuring coral reefs sprawling over a large part of the ocean. It also features many cavern systems.

The Safe Shallows offers plentiful diving experiences for all players, especially new ones, as it is home to a variety of life forms, corals, fauna and flora alike, which are mostly edible, and also features a great abundancy of harvestable materials.
