The Salt Deposit is a Raw Material commonly found on the seabed.
Salt is essential for crafting cured Food and H2O (Water). This makes it very important in the Survival mode of Subnautica.
Salt Deposits can be found on the seabed in many Biomes, such as the Safe Shallows. They can commonly be found near Acid Mushrooms and look like small white cube-shaped crystals. The most plentiful locations of Salt can be found in the Scrapyards near the Aurora and in deeper biomes, such as the Mushroom Forest, Grassy Plateaus, and the Koosh Zone.
Salt Deposits can also be produced by desalination using the Water Filtration Machine.
