Eggs are the unhatched forms of certain Fauna. They can be used for Research which will allow the player to create more advanced objects, such as Upgrades. Currently, the only Egg available is the Safe Shallows Egg, which is found in the Grassy Plateaus.
Eggs usually are considered to be belonging to an unidentified fauna until they are analyzed using the Specimen Analyzer.
An Egg of a given type can currently belong to up to two different species.
