The Solar Panel is a placeable item that absorbs lights and converts it into energy.
It is constructed with the Builder and can be placed on any surface in any angle, including on the Foundation, except on seabase modules. It can also be damaged and destroyed by striking it with the knife three times.
The Solar Panel must be placed within a radius of up to 20 meters from a seabase for them to be able to supply power. One Solar Panel produces 1% power every second with coverage of 89% sun.
At daytime the Solar Panel receives most sunlight and charge the most. During the evening decreases charging in force since solar panel receives less light as the sun goes down. At midnight there is no charge at all. Below is a list of what depth it is best to charge in.
Received sun in percentage and placement at midday:
- Floater Islands - (Sun: 200%)
- Depth 0m - (Sun: 100%)
- Depth 10m - (Sun: 95%)
- Depth 50m - (Sun: 80%)
- Depth 100m - (Sun: 60%)
- Depth 245m - (Sun: 1%)
