Communications Relay.png

The Communications Relay is an in-development item that is constructed with the Habitat Builder. It can also be found when starting the game, on the back side of the Lifepod.

Uses

Once the player starts up the game, after two minutes the Communications Relay will beep and inform the player that a new message has arrived, once the player interects with the Communications Relay, will send out a message.

Once finished building, the Communications Relay will send a message, albeit with no sound, that appears on the player's screen. It will currently only do this four times, each with an "attempt" before the broadcast and says what attempt it is.

Future Plans

In the future, the player will need to complete certain tasks in order to receive messages.

Speculation

In the future, it may be used to help the player to get rescued.

Trivia

  • A fifth message is received by the player later in the game. The day this message is received varies. It displays: You've been down too long in the midnight sea. Oh don't you see what I mean? This message is a reference to the song Holy Diver by the US heavy metal band DIO.
