The Mushroom Forest Caves is a special cavernous system characterised by life forms and coral structures typical of the Mushroom Forest biome.

Generally, the Mushroom Forest Caves have only little room for maneuvering, but it is recommendable to navigate the Seamoth through them nonetheless. Bioluminescent plants, such as Grue Clusters, guide the player through many of its passages. There are currently two Mushroom Forest Caves known to exist.

The first cave can be found inside the stem of the Giant Coral Tree within the Mushroom Forest, towards the Northwest of the map, with many entrances both at the top and the bottom.

The second one is situated in the Mushroom Forest but it also connects to the Lava Caves, the entrance to which is located in the Koosh Zone.

Basalt chunks can be found on the walls of the cave. Inside the stem of the Giant Coral Tree, players can also find Lithium crystals.
