Shouldn't the Sea Emperor Leviathan technically be called the Sea Empress Leviathan? I mean, it does speak to you in a female voice and produces eggs.

The “Emperor” in “Sea Emperor Leviathan” refers to the species as a whole, not to the individual who is encountered in the game. At least, that’s how I’ve always interpreted it.

Dialog similarities to music lyrics - perhaps a reference?

The Sea Emperor Leviathan's telepathic communication in the aquarium, specifically her farewell (#4 on the page) appears to be similar to the final verse of the song "Highwayman" by the old country-western band "The Highwaymen". (Also coincidentally, the fourth verse of the song.)

Example: "Perhaps next we meet I will be an ocean current, carrying seeds to a new land... Or a creature so small it sees the gaps between the grains of sand." ~The Sea Emperor Leviathan

"Perhaps I will become a highwayman again..." "Or I may simply be a single drop of rain..."

~Highwayman the song

Here's a link to a lyric video on YouTube (not my creation) which gives the full haunting, eerie, tragic effect. https://youtu.be/qFSA8-pxrqc

I wonder if this was ever confirmed as an intentional reference to the song, or if it was simply a coincidence that they were structured the same. Kerry, son of Spyro (talk) 06:55, 30 December 2023 (UTC)

Sea Emperor Original Prey

My theory is that they ate ghost leviathans. 1. Ghost Leviathans and presumably planktivores 2. The ghost leviathans live in the deepest area in the game 3. The ghost leviathans are large prey that could have fuel the emperor's growth rate
