Subnautica: Below Zero is an upcoming game that acts as an expansion to the story of Subnautica. The full release date is currently planned for sometime in 2019, with early access on January 30, 2019. Below Zero will be purchased separately, and as such will not require the original game to play. The game will be available on Steam, Epic Games, and the Discord Store. Sector Zero will be the setting of the story, which will feature a new protagonist rather than Ryley Robinson, and takes place in a different map two years after Ryley Robinson has escaped Planet 4546B.
