Using the shield will repulse creatures if they make contact with it, causing them to flee. It can only be crafted after its Blueprint has been retrieved from a Data Box and then by using the Cyclops Upgrade Fabricator. When activated, the shield makes the Cyclops invulnerable to damage. It drains 50 energy from the Cyclops to start the shield and 50 energy every 5 seconds until it has been deactivated by the player.

The Cyclops Shield Generator is the only Cyclops module to have a major purpose in crafting, that of the Neptune Escape Rocket cockpit.
