It currently has no use, and is not canonical to the story. The Void is the end of the map and has a bottom at 3000 meters depth, past this there is another, seemingly infinite drop. Adult Ghost Leviathans migrate to the Void from the Lost River, where they act as a deterrent for wandering players going outside of the playable area.[1]

Description

True to its name, The Void is devoid of terrain, flora, coral, and all but one fauna species.

Trivia

  • Sea Dragon Leviathans, among other fauna, were planned to spawn in the Void,[2] but this idea was scrapped.[3]
  • In the walls/borders are random gen caves which have the shape of a block. These caves are just a mistake in generating the map.
  • The Void can be considered as an area where the Peepers did not spread the Enzyme 42 and where all the flora and fauna died out.
