The Precursor Thermal Power Generator (PTPG) is the smallest of the four Precursor Bases. It can be found in the Inactive Lava Zone, within the Lava Castle. It was built around one thousand years ago.

The generator seems to be the source of power for most of the Precursor technology on the planet.

There are two locked doors inside the facility, both of which require only Purple Precursor Artifacts to unlock. Behind the first door is the Blue Precursor Artifact, which will be used to access Primary Containment Facility. Behind another door are three data terminals, one of which unlocks the Blueprints for the Ion Battery and Ion Power Cell. There is also an Ion Crystal Deposit located inside the room.

Alien Drones roam inside the base, acting as a hazard for the Player

This system converts thermal energy to electric current at 90% efficiency. Some of this energy is chemically stored onsite, while unknown mechanisms appear to be transferring most of it to remote locations elsewhere on the planet:

30% Stored for emergency use
30% Ground-to-air Weapon System
22% Primary Research Facility
11% Disease Research Facility
7% Self-Warping Quarantine Enforcer Units

The system appears to be fully automated and - given current understanding of the mechanisms involved - uninterruptible.

Facility locations have been downloaded to individual memory cards to generate HUD-mounted signals.
