It fires the gas from the Gas Pods, creating a damaging cloud of poison. The gas cloud has the same effect of the gas from the gas pods both in terms damage and visual appearance. The icon for the Gas Torpedo's icon is different to that of the Vortex Torpedo; although, it shares the same model.

• Because of the nature, the Gas Torpedo can be classified as the game's only lethal weapon, at this time. The Knife may be also considered as such but its purpose serves more as a survival tool.
