Avery Quinn was a member of the crew of the Sunbeam. Over time, they broadcast several messages to the player's Communications Relay, in hope of getting a response. Avery informs the player that the Sunbeam is aware of their situation, and that they are coming to rescue them. During the rescue attempt, Avery dies after the Precursor Ground-To-Air Weapon System fires and destroys the Sunbeam.
