Template:Class 2 Fauna The Cutefish is an in-development passive life form belonging to the fauna category that has yet to be implemented.
Appearance
The Cutefish's body is small, grey in color on the dorsal side and has a white bioluminescent glow on the ventral side and the white stripe running down it's forehead. It has a sightly bloated belly and possesses no dorsal or caudal fins, sporting only a stubby pair of pectoral fins. On its body also features many small, wart-like lumps.

Trivia
- The sounds of the Cutefish are akin to those of a human baby.
- The Cutefish was originally the first Crashfish, as seen in Concept Art, however, the developers thought that it was "too cute", and thus, created the Crashfish, and made the Cutefish a special edition pet.
- It may have been inspired by the porcupine fish because of their similar faces, the spines on their bodies, and how the Cutefish puffs up in it's concept art.
- On the Sketchfab page, Cutefish is spelled "Qute Fish." This is a result of the modeler misspelling it, as English was not their native language. [1]
- A Cutefish egg can be found on Sketchfab.
- Before it was decided that the Cutefish would be a pet, it was planned to be a Twisty Bridges creature.
- The name "Cute Fish" is likely temporary.
- One of the suggested means for the Early Access buyers to gain the Cutefish in-game is via an egg automatically spawning in the first Alien Containment the players build - this is not final and will be subject to change.
