Multipurpose Room (Subnautica)

Hull Integrity | -1.25 Units |
Description | Basic room |
The Room is a Seabase Module. It provides a much larger space for movement than the Corridor.
It is constructed with a Habitat Builder and can be placed on top of a Foundation or it can be attached to a Seabase Module. When the Room is horizontally connected with another Seabase module, a junction forms in-between. When the Room is connected vertically with another Room directly (as in, without using a Vertical Connector), they will form one larger Room. However, each floor cannot be accessed without adding in a ladder.
At the surface a Room has an integrity level of 8.8 and every Room added to a seabase reduces the Hull Integrity by -1.25 (The game shows -1.3 because it rounds the number. It is functionally -1.25).
Recipe
Expansion
- Hatches can be placed on all eight of the side-panels.
- Windows can be placed on all eight of the side-panels.
- Ladders can be placed on all five floor and ceiling boxes there is an adjacent seabase module to connect.
- Reinforcements can be placed on all eight of the side-panels. Currently, the North, South, East, and West sides give double the Hull Integrity bonus of the 45 degree sides (This may be a bug).
- The Room can be expanded with other modules from its side-panels. However, the side-panels that are on a 45 degree angle to the module construction cannot be expanded from. The Room can be expanded vertically using a second Room.
Future Plans
In the future, the Room's blueprints will not be available from the start. It is still unknown how they will be planned to be unlocked.[1]
