It will be deployed by The Vesper, and functions similarly to Lifepod 5 from the original Subnautica.

Story

Some time after the destruction of the Research Base, Robin Goodall will make a request to her sister Sam that she send down a temporary shelter. The Drop Pod will be deployed shortly afterwards, landing with the help of a parachute, similar to that of Supply Crates. The pod will function as a safe haven for the player until they are capable of constructing their own Seabase.

Interior

The Drop Pod is accessed using a door. A Fabricator is located to the left of the entrance, with an unknown device to the right. A single window is included on the side opposite the door. It is unknown if any survival rations will be included with the Drop Pod.
