</infobox> Al-An is a member of the Precursor Race who will be present as a character in Subnautica: Below Zero. It seems that Robin Goodall will have to find and scan parts of Al-An's body throughout the story. The end goal of this may be to fabricate him a new body.

When Kharaa broke out Al-An's mind was likely stored whilst the body was destroyed. Al-An appears to be unique in that their mind has remained conscious unlike other stored minds which are in a dormant state.

Al-An appears to be capable of broadcasting messages, as shown when he denies Robin access to the Mountain Cave Base. It is unknown whether he is located within the facility, or is broadcasting from elsewhere.

• The name "Al-An" or "Alan" is likely a play on the word "alien".
