Lantern Fruits are an item that can be harvested from Lantern Trees found in the Research Base Zero. It can be planted in the Exterior Growbed, the Indoor Growbed and the Plant Pots.

When eaten, they supply the player with ten points Food and three points of Water. 

In the Bioreactor, it produces a total of 210 energy over the course of 252 seconds.

Due to the fact that Lantern Trees produce a lot of Lantern Fruits, the Lantern Fruit can be used as a versatile food source and a reliable source of fuel for the Bioreactor.
