Template:Infobox:Fauna Flora The Peeper is a life form belonging to the fauna category.

The Peeper's attitude is passive. It will not harm the player, but will instead try to flee. Though they are catchable, their speed allows them to easily escape a player with no fins. They can however, be captured easily with the use of a seaglide or stasis rifle, and can also be spotted easily with their immense, yellow eyeballs. At night they swim with their eyes closed to avoid predators.

Cooked Peepers have excellent food properties. For this reason, it's a very useful food for players in the survival mode and may be worth the hunt.

Behavior

Peepers can be observed jumping out of the water in the morning and the evening. This strongly resembles the behavior of dolphins.

Peepers can also be seen being chased by Stalkers. Peepers appear to be the Stalker's favorite food.

Appearance

The Peeper is a blue, small and flattened fish with a pointed yellow mouth that sits in the front of one a big head with two large eyes on each side of the slim body. It has a small pointed tail with two fins protruding vertically from it. There are three holes on each side of the body that look like gills. At the top and the bottom of the head, the Peeper has one pointed fin each. The eyes feature a large black pupil with a yellow sclera and a brown iris. It is also worth noting that the Peeper has two eyelids on each side.
