Underwater Islands

Underwater Islands are in development features that have not been fully implemented into the game yet. It is currently unknown how many of them will be in future versions of the game. It is also unknown if they will include any life forms.

They were first mentioned by the developers here. The only known islands in the game are located at -33, -45, 581.
