Deep Shroom

Template:Infobox:Fauna Flora The Deep Shroom is a type of life form belonging to the flora category. It can be used as a raw material.When approached by the player,the Deep Shroom will shrink into itself,reverting to it's normal form after a period of time or if the player leaves.

The player can either pick it up by hand or by using the knife, harvest its spores.Be warned though,as cutting the Deep Shroom triggers it's Acid Defense Mechanism,dealing 8 Damage.

The Deep Shroom and the Deep Shroom Spores can be planted in an Exterior Growbed or in an Aquarium.

Appearance

The Deep Shroom looks exactly the same as the Acid Mushroom, save for the difference in coloration: Instead of a bright pink,purple cap,it posses a pale violet grey cap, and a pure black stem.

Other than the discoloration,the Deep Shroom share the same model with the Acid Mushroom.

Uses in Crafting

Behavior

The Deep Mushroom stays completely immobile on the seabed or other firm structures as a base, forming many clusters.

Like the Acid Mushroom,the Deep Shroom posses highly acidic compounds in it's flesh that leaches into the water if it's outer-skin is pierced.As such,harvesting spores from the Deep Shroom with a Knife triggers it's acidic flesh defense,dealing 8 Damage.

Fluctuations in the local water pressure cause it to shrink,as such,when the player approaches the Deep Shroom,it will shrink,only returning to it's original form after a period of time or when the player leaves.

Trivia

• The Deep Shroom is a subspecies of the Acid Mushroom found in shallower biomes.
• If the Deep Shroom is broken, it will give the player Deep Shroom Spores, which can be placed in an Exterior Growbed.
• The Deep Shroom currently does not retract when the player approaches it as there was a problem,the Devs plan to fix it in the future.
