The Bioreactor is constructed with the Habitat Builder and composts organic matter into Energy. It can break down any organic matter into reliable energy for Seabases. The Bioreactor produces 1 energy every 12 seconds. It can only be placed inside a Multipurpose Room. It does not affect power in creative mode.
Bioreactors work well in biomes where organic matter is plentiful, such as Kelp Forests or Mushroom Forests, where Solar Panels may be less efficient. It is also easy to supply a Bioreactor with fuel if one keeps a Growbed or a Large Aquarium full of fish nearby.
Different organics produce different amounts of energy:
Plant matter:
- Seeds/Spores: 10
- Samples: 15
- Lantern Fruit: 65
- Chinese Potato: 75
- Marblemelon: 110
Fauna (raw):
- Garryfish: 65
- Airsack: 80
- Eyeye: 90
- Holefish/Boomerang: 105
- Hoverfish/Spadefish/Hoopfish: 115
- Peeper/Oculus: 150
- Reginald: 220
Creatures (available by collecting eggs and breeding them in a large aquarium):
- Rabbitray: 300
- Shuttlebug/Mesmer: 400
- Stalker: 500
- Jellyray: 600
- Gasopod/Bone shark/Sandshark: 800
- Crabsnake/Shocker: 900
- Reefback: 1000
Others:
- Floater: 200
- Eggs: (S:50) (M:100) (L:50)
- Sea Treader Manure: 200
