Survival Knife (Subnautica): Difference between revisions

The Survival Knife is a basic Tool crafted by using the Fabricator. Its main function is to procure samples of certain Flora and to ward off aggressive Fauna. It's especially relevant for the Survival mode of Subnautica as you will have to gain access to Coral Samples in order to craft Disinfected Water. The Survival Knife has a limited durability of about 100 strikes against an object. The Survival Knife is also capable of damaging the Cyclops, and objects constructed from the builder.

By using the Modification Station, the Survival Knife can be upgraded to Thermoblade or Hardened Blade.

If a Bleeder latches onto the player's arm, the player can use the Survival Knife to stab the Bleeder.

Trivia

Markings on the Survival Knife indicate that it was made by "Alterra Arms Incorporated". Alterra is a corporation also known from the game Natural Selection 2, which was developed by Unknown Worlds Entertainment.
