The Laser Cutter is an in-development tool that is crafted at the Fabricator.

Its primary function is cutting open Sealed Supply Crates and opening sealed doors. When aiming at a crate with the Laser Cutter an indicator that says "open percent: 0-100%" will appear, similar to the one that appears on the welding tool. It has an energy level which can be replenished with a Battery.

When equipped, it emits light in a 5 meter radius from the player.

In previous versions of the game, the Laser Cutter was crafted at the Modification Station with a Welder and a Diamond.
