The Dive Reel is a tool used for back tracking during cave exploration.

It is crafted using the Fabricator.

One thing many people mistake the Dive Reel for is a grappinling like mechinism, thinking they will be able to zoom across the map. This does not occur in the game, as it is purely a rope for back tracking through caves, long distances, etc.

Usage

Use RMB to fix the reel's anchor to the ground
Swim (either with it equipped or not)
Place the other end down with RMB (Right Mouse Button) or
Swim back to anchor and retrieve it (must have the reel equipped)
