Compass (Subnautica): Difference between revisions

The Compass is a crafted piece of Equipment made using the Fabricator. It is used as a basic navigational device with cardinal direction indicators.

After the player has crafted one compass, it automatically falls in place in PDA Inventory under Equipment in one of the HUD slots there. You can also move it to you main inventory, to trade with a storage or drop it from there.

The Compass will appear in the fabricator once you have one piece of Magnetite.

Due to its ability to tell the player where they are looking, it can be used for:

Keeping track of salvaged areas
Navigation with SeaGlide, Seamoth, and Cyclops

The compass shows at the top middle of the screen, under the depth meter. Facing East (E).
Facing South (S).
Facing West (W).
Facing North (N).
