The crash is a life-form belonging to fauna. It can be found in caves that are not to deep (most of the time in safe hollows caves) and looks like a black/grey round rock when player isn't spotted.

When player is spotted, the crash 'base' ( which can't move) is going to open like a flower and will emit a kind of gurgle, showing a round red-white one-eyed fish like creature inside it's 'mouth'.

If the player comes too close, the fish like creature will get out of the base and will charge the player while emmiting a specific noise, easily recognizable. After a short amount of time, the fish like creature will explode, causing damage to the player.

Be aware that the exploding fish is as fast as you, even with fins. The crash base cannot be killed and will produce other exploding fishes over time.

A good strategy if being attacked by a lot of exploding fishes at the same moment is to freeze them with the Stasis Rifle.
