Template:Infobox:Fauna Flora The Shocker is a life form belonging to the Fauna category. It dwells in the Koosh Zone and the Blood Kelp Zone, as individuals or as small groups.
Zapping noises can be heard when the Shocker uses its shock attacks against other life forms or the player. Its shocking attack deals about 15% of the player's health and its bite will take away 45% of the player's health.
Appearance
The Shocker is a large, serpentine creature with a segmented body and is covered with prongs capable of generating powerful zaps of electricity. Its dorsal side is dull green in color, while its underbelly is light tan.
It has similar movements to a real life eel, with its body segments constantly rotating. The body is composed of a head segment, eight body segments, and an end segment.
The Shocker's head segment has six prongs, four being placed like on each body segment and two being placed near the mouth. It has bluish green eyes indented into the skull, leaving a visible round mark. Its mouth has many small teeth, with a visible opening above it.
Each body segment has four prongs situated 90 degrees apart, except its end segment where there are four prongs extending out posteriorly. The prongs are mostly red with bright white tips, emitting a bright neon cyan bioluminescent glow, and also, are capable of generating electricity.
Behavior
The Shocker swims around passively, and frequently reorientates itself to another direction. It also often generates electrical arcs running along its body, from head to tail.
The Shocker will enter its defensive mode when the player approaches it directly, even if they are using any vehicles. It will build up an electrical barrier surrounding its entire body, by using all of its prongs at once. It may then try to zap, or to bite the player.

Trivia
- The Shocker is not affected by the Seamoth Perimeter Defense System.
- The Shocker will always remain near its spawning point. If it is blown away by a vortex torpedo or a repulsion cannon, it will always return.
- The Shocker ignores other Shockers.
- The Shocker hunts and eats smaller fish in its surrounding every so often.
- The Shocker's zap can damage you through the wall of a Cyclops or Seabase.
- The Shocker can still attack while being frozen with the stasis bubble.
- The Shocker will make a bite sound if you swim by its mouth, regardless of whether or not the player can take damage at that time or not.
