Crabsnake

Template:Infobox:Fauna Flora The Crab Snake is a life form belonging to the Fauna category that can only be found in the Jelly Shroom Caves, where is resides in the Jelly Shrooms.

As an aggressive creature, it will attack the player on approach and deals about 25-30 health damage.

Appearance

The Crab Snake has a long, serpentine body covered in what appears to be something similar to a real life crab's exoskeleton, albeit a highly flexible one, as it doesn't seem to impact much of its movement in any manner. The Crab Snake has two long, translucent fins along the sides of its body, which undulate as it moves.

The top of the its body is maroon, with horizontal reddish-brown stripes every few feet along its entire length, along with many bright purple spots randomly placed on it. And its underside is pale gray in color.

The Crab Snake's head sports a pair of small fangs in its mouth, along with a much larger pair of black-tipped claws around it. It has no visible eyes.

Behavior

The Crab Snake waits inside a Jelly Shroom in an upright position until the player gets too close. At that point it will spring out and grab them as a surprise attack. Sometimes after having finished its attacks, the Crab Snake falls back into the mushroom, other times it will leave and swims around the area. Unless agitated again by the player, it will eventually return to the Jelly Shroom and wait again.

It will also leave its mushroom on its own so it can patrol the surrounding area, or seek out another mushroom to reside in. If approached while in the Seamoth, it will deal 5% of damage to the vehicle. The Crab Snake will not attack the Cyclops.
