Every Multipurpose Room added to a seabase reduces the [[Hull Integrity]] by -1.25 (The game shows -1.3 because it rounds the number. It is functionally -1.25). The first piece of a seabase starts with +10 Integrity, thus if a Multipurpose Room is the first piece built it gets +10 - 1.25, or 1.8 (rounded) at surface depth.

It provides a much larger space for movement than the I Compartment or the X Compartment, though much less than the Large Room. It is constructed with a Habitat Builder and can be placed on top of a Foundation or it can be attached to a Seabase module. When the Multipurpose Room is horizontally connected with another Seabase module, a small length of corridor is generated. Multipurpose Rooms can be stacked vertically, with the player able to build ladders inside to access multiple floors. Every Multipurpose Room added to a seabase reduces the Hull Integrity by -1.25 (The game shows -1.3 because it rounds the number. It is functionally -1.25). Expansion

  • Hatches can be placed on all eight of the side-panels.
  • Windows can be placed on all eight of the side-panels.
  • Ladders can be placed on all five floor and ceiling boxes if there is an adjacent Seabase module to connect.
  • Reinforcements can be placed on all eight of the side-panels. Currently, the North, South, East, and West sides give double the Hull Integrity bonus of the 45 degree sides (This may be a bug).
  • The Multipurpose Room can be expanded with other modules from its side-panels. However, the side-panels that are on a 45-degree angle to the module construction cannot be expanded from. The Multipurpose Room can be expanded vertically using a second Multipurpose Room.
  • A Multipurpose Room Glass Dome can be placed on top. However, if this is done no further rooms can be stacked on top of it.

Recipe

The blueprint for this item is unlocked by scanning Multipurpose Rooms in Outpost Zero or at the Delta Station. It is crafted with the Habitat Builder. (no target detected)
