Depending on whether the player has already acquired Al-An or not, a forcefield will prevent entry. Should Al-An be in Robin's head, it will shut down upon approach.

Interior

Beyond the entryway is the Power Room, which contains a massive machine that appears to be a power source, presumably for a warp gate. It is believed that once Al-An acquires his body, he will be able to activate the machine.

In the back of the Power Room is a doorway to another large room that is currently empty. It is unknown what may be here in the future.

It is suggested in a Favro card that there will be an upper floor. It is possible that this is where the gate will be found.

Story

While the player can find Alien Research Site Zero at any point in the story, it can only be accessed once Al-An has taken residence in Robin's mind.

Once Al-An has acquired a new vessel, he suggests that Robin meet with him at the site. It is assumed that from here, Al-An will be able to return to the Architect homeworld via warp gate.
