Dialogue, in-game, is the act of someone (or something) talking. In Subnautica: Below Zero, there are many times where Dialogue will occur.

ROBIN: How long? SAM: Maybe ten minutes. ROBIN: Jeff, do you read? JEFF: Robinka, we did it. I translated the wakeup command. ROBIN: Your timing sucks. We're evacuating. *static* ROBIN: Jeff? SAM: His last GPS checkin was at the cave entrance. ROBIN: I'm going up there. SAM: Roger that. Don't stay any longer than you need to."
	"ROBIN: I'm approaching the research site. Looks like Jeff's GPS tracker is here, but no other sign of him. SAM: Understood, be careful."
	"ROBIN: Jeff? Jevov! VOICE: Jeff woke me up. Now Jeff is gone. ROBIN: Who am I speaking to?!"
	"ROBIN: What happened here?! VOICE: That information is- *The ceiling shakes and debris falls as a meteor strikes the mountain overhead* VOICE: Damage sustained. VOICE: Rerouting data to Sanctuary. Warning: Sanctuary power low."
	"ROBIN: Jevov isn't here. But Sam, we woke something up. I spoke to it. SAM: Please get to the escape ship. ROBIN: I'm on my way."
	"SAM: We have your ship on radar. ROBIN: What?! I'm not on that ship! SAM: Who is?! ROBIN: Jeff's the only one it could be. Where's it going? SAM: I'll find out. Where are you now? ROBIN: Still making for the base. That's my best shelter now. SAM: Okay, I'm going to see what I can do from here."
	"ROBIN: Oh no. SAM: Are you back at base yet? ROBIN: That's a negative. It's gone. *Static* ROBIN: Sam?!"
	"PDA: Your environment is no longer safe. Your PDA has rebooted in emergency mode."
	"SAM: Robin, come in. ROBIN: I copy! I'm okay! SAM: Stay where you are and look up. I'm dropping a lifepod. ROBIN: Did everyone else get away? Did you find Jeff? SAM: They're still counting heads. We haven't found- *A meteor strikes the Vesper, causing an explosion and visible damage to its docking bays and communications* ROBIN: Sam! Vesper, do you read?! Sam?!"

Act II

	"PDA: Well done for surviving the evacuation. Statistically, that is the hard part. This lifepod will help you survive until rescue. Fabricate food and tools, and refer to your PDA's databank for more information. Good luck."
	"PDA: Emergency Cache detected nearby."
	"PDA: Incoming transmission. *Alien noises* PDA: Origin: Alien Sanctuary site, Twisty Bridges, 200m depth. Recorded to databank."
	"PDA: Caution: Approaching Alien Sanctuary. Alterra requests you take care not to damage the artifacts."
	"ALIEN FACILITY: Warning: Sanctuary power critical. Searching for emergency storage medium. ROBIN: Hello?!"
	"VOICE: Human, turn back. ROBIN: Why? VOICE: You were sent here to harness me. I will destroy you first. ROBIN: You're not sure of my intentions. Are you afraid? VOICE: I am all powerful. ROBIN: I came here because I'm curious about your people. It sounds like your in trouble. VOICE: My storage medium is failing. ROBIN: You're dying? VOICE: I am considering my options. ALIEN FACILITY: Storage medium found. ROBIN: What does that mean? VOICE: Storage capacity was identified on your person. ROBIN: Where? On my PDA? Hello?!"
	"ROBIN: This is where you're stored isn't it? VOICE: Presently, yes. ROBIN: A digital backup to save you in case of disaster. VOICE: It has worked until now. My data can be downloaded from the terminal. ROBIN: Is that what you'd like? VOICE: I have hours to live. I may not like it now, but I will appreciate it later. ROBIN: I'm taking that as a yes."
	"ROBIN: I hope this works. ALIEN FACILITY: Storage medium accepted. ROBIN: Wait, what?! ALIEN FACILITY: Commencing data transfer. ROBIN: *gasp*"
	"ROBIN: *groans* What happened? ALIEN FACILITY: Transfer complete. VOICE: Download capacity was identified in your cerebral cortex. ROBIN: You're in my head?! VOICE: I am also surprised. ROBIN: Is it reversible?!. VOICE: I hope so. ALIEN FACILITY: Sanctuary power failed. *lights go out* VOICE: But not from here. ROBIN: Dammit. VOICE: I will find a way. With the processing power available it may take some time. I will alert you when I exit hibernation. ROBIN: This is exactly why we have protocols."
	"VOICE: Do not be alarmed. I am still processing our situation. Some memory data was lost in the download process. ROBIN: Yours or mine?! VOICE: I cannot recall. I will hibernate- ROBIN: Wait, what's your name? VOICE: We do not use words that way. ROBIN: I had a pet baawaal once. I called him Ketchup. Don't make me name you too. VOICE: You may append your seed code to the species designation. You may call me Al-An. ROBIN: I waited my whole life to meet a spacefaring alien. Your telling me your name is Alan? AL-AN: Is it insufficient? ROBIN: No. No, Al-An, it's perfect. AL-AN: I will alert you when I have more information."
	"PDA: Repairing the nearby radio tower may amplify your signal enough to contact the Vesper."
	"PILOT: Are you sure that I'm the kinda gal you want to be following? ROBIN: I don't mean you any harm! PILOT: Then your position is doubly precarious. ROBIN: Where are you going with that tablet? PILOT: I don't trust anyone who's too big to fight, or too greedy to buy. Alterra's both. ROBIN: Wait! PILOT: Don't follow me!"
	"ROBIN: Vesper, this is Sector Zero, do you read? Sam are you up there? I haven't seen any ships. I'm starting to get- SAM: Robin! I read you! Are you okay?! ROBIN: I got setup in the lifepod, I'm fine. What happened up there? SAM: A meteor took out comms and both launch bays. It's chaos, but nothing can be stitched back on. ROBIN: What about Jeff? SAM: The ship went off course, west towards the Glacial Basin. ROBIN: He's still down here. SAM: Finding him is not the priority. Our ships are all out of action, and we got people stranded in other sectors. I need you to stay safe until we can send a rescue team. ROBIN: I've done this before, I'll be okay. SAM: I know you will. Rob I have to go. I'll call back as soon as I can. ROBIN: Roger that. I feel better knowing you're still out there, even if you are out of reach."
	"SAM: Robin, we're working on sending you a supply drop. Are you okay? ROBIN: I've got things under control. SAM: Good. We need to debrief. Before the storm you said you spoke to one of them. One of the Architects. ROBIN: Briefly. A meteor struck the facility somewhere, it shut down. SAM: Why aren't you more disappointed? ROBIN: It's further than we ever got. SAM: You think It's still alive. Robin, I know I can't stop you chasing aliens, but keep me informed if anything else happens. ROBIN: Don't worry, I'll follow the protocols. SAM: I have to write this up. Stay safe."
	"AL-AN: You did not reveal me to your master. ROBIN: She's my sister, not my master. AL-AN: You do not trust your sister. ROBIN: I risked my life to save you. When she finds out I don't know what she'll do, but it won't be good for you. So I am thrilled to meet you, and I want to help you, but first we need to get you out of my head. AL-AN: You must transfer me to a superior storage medium. ROBIN: How? AL-AN: I may remember with sufficient external memory aides. ROBIN: Such as what? AL-AN: I can think more efficiently when we are not sharing your language processing unit. ROBIN: Are you asking me to shut up? AL-AN: That is another way of putting it."

Act III (Colleague's PDA)

	"PDA: Attention: Detecting a nearby Alterra signal. Personnel may be in need of assistance.
	"ROBIN: Vesper, I've found a PDA, it was Jeff's. He's been here recently. SAM: Can you upload it? *animation PDA held in hands, uploading progress bar fills onscreen* ROBIN: Are you getting it? SAM: He was looking for the Architect. Any ideas where he might have gone? ROBIN: None. SAM: We can focus our scans to the west. I'll let you know if we find anything. ROBIN: Roger that."
	"SAM: Robin, we found Jevov. He's alive. ROBIN: Where?! SAM: The next sector. I'm connecting him. JEFF: Robinka? ROBIN: Jeff! What happened? JEFF: I went for the escape ship. But I changed my mind. SAM: You contradicted a direct order. JEFF: I thought the Architect we woke was transferred to another facility. It was too precious to give up. Robin surely agrees, or she wouldn't also be down here. SAM: What happened to your GPS? JEFF: It must have been torn as I tried to escape. SAM: As soon as we have a ship available we're bringing you both in. You're going to sit tight until then. Understood? ROBIN: Roger that. JEFF: I will do as you ask. SAM: Good. I have to brief the Director on this. I'll be in touch."

Act III (Frozen Creature)

	Dialogue
	"PDA: Warning: Detecting a leviathan class lifeform nearby. The lifeform is currently stationary. Beware of ambush."
	"SAM: Your GPS shows you near the Frozen Leviathan. Confirm visual? ROBIN: It's hard to miss. SAM: The team was tasked with sending a sample up to the labs, but they evacuated first. ROBIN: I'll take a look around. SAM: Roger."
	"PDA: Warning: Sample infected with Kharaa bacterium. Handle with extreme caution. ROBIN: I have the sample. SAM: Roger that. Our ships are still out of action, but if you can get it to the cargo rocket I can have a bay sealed off to receive it. ROBIN: What do you even want with this? SAM: I just know it's on the list. ROBIN: I'm a xenologist, not Alterra's plague doctor. SAM: I don't like it either. But it's still an alien lifeform isn't it? ROBIN: I'll let you know when I'm at the rocket. SAM: Thank you."
	"ROBIN: Vesper, the sample's en route. SAM: Roger, payload confirmed."

Act III (Outpost Omega)

	Dialogue
	"PDA: Nearing vicinity of Oupost Omega."
	"SAM: This is Vesper, checking in. ROBIN: I'm at Outpost Omega rooting through their research. SAM: They've been beside themselves since the evac. ROBIN: I bet, they always thought they were one step away from first contact. SAM: Can you upload the documents you've found? ROBIN: Hold on. AL-AN: This data would allow an intelligent human to extrapolate my presence in your cerebral cortex. Do not upload it. ROBIN: Sam, I'm having some trouble with this upload. It might be the caves. SAM: Roger, send it as soon as you're clear."
	"SAM: Robin, you said you'd send that research from Outpost Omega. We never received it. ROBIN: My PDA's been on the blink, the file got corrupted. Want me to go back to the outpost? SAM: No, we can salvage it later. Right now I'm focused on getting you home alive. ROBIN: Only because salaries cause less than lawsuits. SAM: That's a cheap shot. Is that cynicism making you friends down there? ROBIN: Sure, they're just not human. SAM: Well your human friends are up here doing everything we can for you. ROBIN: I know. I'm grateful, I am. SAM: I'll be in touch. AL-AN: She suspects you. ROBIN: She thinks she knows when I'm lying. AL-AN: Does she? ROBIN: Yes. But she doesn't know that she knows. I think.

Act III (Al-An/Caches)

	"ROBIN: Al-An, how are you doing? AL-AN: You would not understand. You are very different. ROBIN: We are different. But aren't we seeing with the same eyes right now? Don't you see the same colors? AL-AN: No. ROBIN: What do you see? AL-AN: Eyes, radio, sensors, they just detect vibration. What you call your five senses I call one. No surfaces, no color, no blur of motion. Just data points fluctuating between non-existence and infinity. ROBIN: Is it fun? AL-AN: Did you not understand? I am experiencing existence. ROBIN: I just can't tell. It sounds... wild. But also... cold. AL-AN: It is precise, but wavy. From just what you hear, I can taste the air, or listen to the shape of the room. It is... engaging. ROBIN: Sounds like we have the same experience different ways. And we are born in different galaxies. Isn't that incredible? AL-AN: No. If it is true it is a matter of statistical inevitability. ROBIN: That's another way to put it.
	"AL-AN: I have been disconnected from my people for so long. But I remember there is something nearby of value. ROBIN: If only your memory were less selective. AL-AN: It is your memory too."
	"AL-AN: I have been able to detect my people's technology in this region. ROBIN: Oh hi. Worth checking out? AL-AN: I cannot discern. ROBIN: So why tell me? AL-AN: It may be worth investigating. ROBIN: I'm curious too."

Act III (Marg Encounter 2)

	"PILOT: I told you not to follow me, Alterra! Now you got a problem. ROBIN: Where are you? Why are you hiding? PILOT: You know how many lawsuits are out on me? ROBIN: How could I, you haven't told me your name. PILOT: The name comes with a price. You really want to know, come see me. The code on the door is 2247."

Act IV (Enzyme 42)

	Dialogue
	"SAM: Robin, I've got good news and bad. ROBIN: What's the good news? SAM: We've got a launch bay back online and we're prepping the marine teams. ROBIN: Bad? SAM: Our supplies of Enzyme 42 deteriorated overnight. ROBIN: How? SAM: We're looking into it. ROBIN: If the bacterium got out you'd have no cure. SAM: And you're the only person we have within range of an emperor population. ROBIN: Don't worry I'll find them. SAM: Roger that, keep us posted."
	"EMPEROR JUVENILE: Hello, friend. Are you here to play? ROBIN: I wish I could. Something went wrong. I need to collect an enzyme sample. EMPEROR JUVENILE: Then we can play another time. ROBIN: Thank you."
	"ROBIN: Sam, I've got the enzyme. I'll send it up in the cargo rocket. SAM: Understood. We'll have you back on the Vesper in no time."

Act IV (Al-An/Caches)

	Dialogue
	"ROBIN: Al-An, can you hear me? AL-AN: Of course. ROBIN: I've been wondering. You came here to extract a cure from a creature that would gladly given it if only you'd listened to what she needed. Why didn't you just ask for help? AL-AN: It did not occur to us to listen. We knew how to extract. ROBIN: You were scared? AL-AN: We did not want to die. It was too important."
	"AL-AN: I am detecting a faint signal from one of our facilities in the region. ROBIN: Do you know anything more? AL-AN: Most of my knowledge was lost when I was backed up. I may remember more as we draw closer."
