This upgrade provides the Seamoth and the Prawn Suit with a system that preemptively hardens the vehicle chassis prior to collisions with terrain, eliminating damage under normal conditions.

Defense Value

The formula used for the collision damage is the following: , where s represents self damage, d represents outgoing damage, and n represents the number of equipped Hull Reinforcement modules.

  • 1 Hull Reinforcement -50% collision damage taken
  • 2 Hull Reinforcements -75% collision damage taken
  • 3 Hull Reinforcements -87.5% collision damage taken
  • 4 Hull Reinforcements: -93.75% collision damage taken

Damage is only reduced from collision with terrain. Other sources of damage such as aggressive fauna do full damage.
