The Seamoth is the smallest submarine-type vehicle in Subnautica, but also the second fastest of the vehicles with its top speed of 25 Knots or 12.7 m/s.
Overview
The Seamoth is used for diving into deep caves and exploring the deep ocean, as it does not have a collapse depth, unlike the Cyclops. Players can use the Seamoth to replenish air when diving in the deeper areas or in caves.
The Seamoth also has a health bar and energy which is needed to be maintained in order for operation. On one full charge, the Seamoth can travel approx. 10300 meters (103m/1%). Its health, which can decrease by crashing it into objects at any depth, or through attacks of hostile creatures, can be repaired with the welder tool. However, once the health bar reaches 0%, the Seamoth will start to emit smoke and become unrepairable. Its energy can be replenished by docking it to the Cyclops submarine or by replacing the power cell on its back.
In the future it will be able to dock to the Moon Pool seabase module.
Dangers
Currently, the only dangers to the Seamoth are Reaper Leviathans, Bone Sharks, and Crashes. The Crashes seem to be the most dangerous, as they can destroy the Seamoth with only one launched Crash.
Crafting
The Seamoth can be crafted by the player using the Constructor.
However, you will first need to find a Seamoth Fragment and have it analysed using the Fragment Analyzer.
