The Beacon is a machine crafted by using the fabricator.

The Beacon can mark locations, for example caves, biomes or the habitat of rare life forms. It may be placed in the ocean and picked up again after each use.

It works similar to the life pod, Cyclops and Seamoth marker, just this is round and sending out a visible pulse that is different from the life pod's beacon. The beacon pings are faded out when nearby. Too many beacons can be hard to keep track of.

The Beacon can be placed anywhere in the ocean ore on land and picked up again
The ring-shaped signal belongs to a Beacon. The other is shaped like the Cyclops, Seamoth and Escape Pod.
