It fires the gas from the Gas Pods, creating a damaging cloud of poison. The gas cloud deals 40 damage to the player almost instantly during contact, and will decrease the Food significantly. The icon for the Gas Torpedo is different in your inventory than when out of your inventory, while in the water it has exactly the same design as the Vortex Torpedo.

• Because of the nature, the Gas Torpedo can be classified as the game's only lethal weapon, at this time. The Knife may be also considered as such but its purpose serves more as a survival tool.
