A brittle land-plant containing large spores which generate a characteristic rattle when the plant is shaken. This may act to ward off predators, or even encourage predation as a means of spreading the spores.

The Speckled Rattler is a terrestrial non-hazardous type of life form belonging to the flora category. It is found in abundance on the Floating Island, but can also be found on the Mountain Island around and leading up to the Precursor Teleporter.

The player can either pick it up by hand or hit it with a Knife in order to harvest Speckled Rattler Spores from it. Both can be planted.

Appearance

The Speckled Rattler resembles certain types of fungi. It has a round cap covered with dark purple spots, emitting a dull bioluminescent purple glow, growing on a thick stem.
