The schematic indicates the weapon was to be powered by a separate, self-sustaining power plant, located elsewhere on the planet. The location is not listed, but there is evidence the designers intended to harness the planet's natural thermal energy.

The Precursor Thermal Power Generator is the smallest of the four Precursor Bases and will be found in the Inactive Lava Zone, within the Lava Castle. It was built around one thousand years ago.

The generator seems to be the source of power for most of the Precursor technology on the planet.

This system converts thermal energy to electric current at 90% efficiency. Future Plans

• Drillable Ion Crystals will be found in this base.
• The thermal generator itself will be scannable to reveal the log seen above.
• The signal for it will be inplemented in the Disease Research Facility.
