The Vortex Torpedoes are loaded into the torpedo silos in the front of the Seamoth or into the Torpedo Arm of the PRAWN Suit. The Vortex Torpedo's payload is a small whirlpool that causes creatures to be pulled in and unable to move freely, similar to the effects of the Stasis Rifle. This can be used to immobilize aggressive creatures such as Stalkers, Sand Sharks, and even Reaper Leviathans, giving the player a significant advantage in escaping.
