Looking like a hybrid between a sea anemone and a jellyfish they are attached to the rock ceiling, waiting for prey to be caught by their tentacles. Touching a Hanging Stinger causes damage.

They were officially announced on the Subnautica website. The concept art was done by Cory Strader.
